Total costs involved: 1 gallon paint stripper: $18; gloves: $3; 1 gallon mismatched latex satin paint (got lucky on this find): $6; 1 can industrial Rustoleum® flat black spray paint (to paint the hardware): $5; bunch o' oak trim sticks-n-stuff: $30; 60 grit sandpaper (4 sheets) $2.50; 1/0 steel wool: $3; 1 quart Golden Oak furniture refinisher: $8; 1 quart low gloss Tung Oil: $9 (TOTAL materials: $85.50.
